How to Use A Monopod (For Video)

Manfrotto Monopod - http://amzn.to/2lvIuDd My Camera Gear- http://bit.ly/jordankit Move over Tripods, the new kid on the block has got you beat! Well- in some ways. The Monopod offers a variety of shots and can out-maneuver a tripod any day. It’s best to use the Monopod when you lack two things: Space and Time. A big tripod can encumber you in tight spaces and usually takes 5-15 seconds to set up. For live events, such as weddings, every second matters, so it’s critical to not miss The Shot. The Monopod is fast and easy. Boom! You’re set up and ready to go! You can’t go wrong with Manfrotto. They have very smooth fluid heads and a very forgiving warranty. However, if brand isn’t what you’re after then I highly recommend that you find a monopod with base-feet. The Photographer’s Monopod only has a rubber stub on the bottom. What the base-feet offer is a the ability to steady your shot even further as well as pull off a few tricks (scroll down for tricks). For my monopod, I have modified it a bit and added a fluid head. Getting it separately allows me to remove the fluid head and screw it onto the slider. TIP #247- PLAN YOUR SHOTS BEFORE YOU PRESS RECORD.
