Visual Design: What does your brand look like?
When your customers are interfacing with your brand, not only do they have this gut feeling of your attributes, but they’re also going to think about the visuals. You want to have a consistent, visual brand along with the personal brand of who you actually are. The colors, fonts, logo should all match your brand attributes. At the same time, they need to be complementary to your audience.
For example, your tone of voice is informative and your target audience is college professors. Having a big, bold, whacky font with bright pink and green colors won’t exactly match the two together. Not to say that college professors are boring, but we need to provide a look that will complement our audience’s world view and appeal to their sensibilities.
Your brand should reflect your style and taste - there’s no question. But remember that the personal brand isn’t entirely about you.
