Howdy folks! 👋
(You can even use this as a template!)
As I've said before, many of us shouldn't attempt to build our own website. But there are a few things we'll cover that can't be outsourced to a web designer.
Let's begin our journey with A Vision!
🏵️Vision
If you're going to dream - Dream BIG.
The vision for your website zooms out to match the vision for your business. It's lofty, high-reaching, and a bit intangible. Not to say it's unrealistic, but your vision should feel empowering.
It's a life-long quest.
Ask yourself: If everything went according to plan, what would a success look like?
Stealing from great copywriters
It helps to write in stages of evolution. Start rough, do a Take 2, Take 3, and so on until it feels right.
How do you know if it feels right?
Here's the formula:
[WHO WE ARE HELPING] + [HOW WE WILL HELP THEM] + [THE RESULTS FROM OUR HELP]
Photographers + Marketing Resources & Coaching + Get Back to Doing What They Love
Here's where my 1st draft started:
The best place for photographers to learn and grow their marketing strategies.
Here's where I ended up:
The essential resource for photographers who want to learn and grow their marketing so they can get back to doing what they love.
P.S., Stay tuned for tomorrow's post about setting Goals.
P.P.S., Use this Notion page as a template for your next website project!
Cheers,
Jordan P. Anderson
