Project Spotlight: Louisiana Travel Recipes

Produced by tommysTV

The Concept

The Louisiana tourism website, was looking to enrich the culinary side of their site. We proposed to create “Tasty-style” recipe videos for some of their most popular Cajun and Creole recipes: Gumbo, Jambalaya, Crawfish Étouffée, and Pecan (puh·Kaan) Pralines. Our team at tommysTV produced the first round of recipes and they were a HUGE hit with Louisiana Travel’s fanbase. They loved it so much that we filmed a second round of recipes with an upgraded look and some added VFX.

Nothing gets Cajuns more fired up than to publish a recipe of their favorite Louisiana dish that their momma and grandma used to make. The engagement on these videos went truly viral among Louisiana Travel’s audience. As of June 2019, the videos have been watched over 4.5 million times with thousands of comments. C’est si bon!

Louisiana Seafood Boil REcipe

We brought the Louisiana shores inside to Celtic Studios. All it took were a few bags of sand, a big crawfish pot, some newspapers, and a huge source of light. Our team also brought on a food stylist, which made all the difference. She was able to add elements that our production crew didn’t even know was possible.
